Mr. Carnell's background includes founding Charleston Renal Care, later sold to Davita and 20 years experience in medical device and healthcare including employment with Johnson & Johnson, Chiron, Gambro Healthcare and two Inc. 50 Fastest Growing Companies.

Jeffrey Gold

President & Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Gold was most recently the President & CEO of Velomedix Inc, a venture backed company that developed a unique technology for rapidly inducing therapeutic hypothermia in patients undergoing severe acute cardiovascular events, such as heart attack and cardiac arrest. Prior to Velomedix, Mr. Gold was a Venture Partner for Longitude Capital where he focused on investments in medical devices. From 2001-2005 he was Chief Executive Officer of CryoVascular Systems, a medical device company developing treatments for peripheral vascular disease. CryoVascular was acquired by Boston Scientific Corporation in 2005. From 1997 to 2000, Mr. Gold was COO and Executive Vice President of CardioThoracic Systems (NASDAQ: CTSI), a medical device company focused on developing products to enable off-pump open-heart surgery. CTSI was acquired by Guidant Corporation. Prior to CTSI, Mr. Gold spent 18 years with Cordis Corporation, now the primary cardiovascular device subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson, in a series of roles of increasing responsibility and scope. He was co-founder and President of Cordis Endovascular Systems, the subsidiary company that initially focused on the interventional neuroradiology and peripheral markets. Mr. Gold holds an MBA from the University of Florida and a BS in Engineering from Northeastern University and is a graduate of GE’s Manufacturing Management Program.

Peter Osborne

Chief Financial Officer

Peter was born in Africa, and spent his formative years enjoying the climate, wildlife and off-beat foods. He soon became tired of the Crocodile Dundee-like experience and after graduating from the University of Cape Town with two degrees he joined Deloitte & Touche LLP and spent the next 19 years advancing his CPA career serving local and multinational businesses in South Africa, UK, EU and the USA. Peter was an audit partner serving high growth public and emerging private companies in Silicon Valley before venturing off and assuming senior financial leadership positions in public and high growth technology companies, most recently with VNUS Medical, Hansen Medical and SentreHEART. Peter is a "foodie" and spends time when he is not cooking riding his road bicycle on out of state tours.

John Allison

Chief Technology Officer

John grew up in the Midwest and studied Biomedical Engineering at Duke University, where he received his PhD in Medical Imaging. John has more than 25 years experience working with medical devices, spanning diagnostic imaging with Acuson and Siemens Medical, radiosurgery with Accuray, non-invasive fat reduction with Zeltiq and Focused Cold Therapy neuromodulation with myoscience. John has led the combined research, clinical evaluation and product realization of over 15 successful medical devices; in fact, he is an inventor with over 20 issued patents and many more in the pipeline. Outside the office, John is somewhat of a mystery - like all scientists, he is very secretive. But we have been able to ascertain that John has a wife and at least one child and that he likes to bum crew positions on others' sailboats, play golf and is an avid winemaker. Perhaps most interesting, John is a two-time Guinness Book of World Records holder in pocket billiards, pocketing the most balls in a 24-hour period.

Tracey Henry

VP, RAQA & Operations

Tracey was born in Southern Illinois, but soon became a Californian when at age 8 her family moved to San Diego. Since then she's been inching her way north to the Bay area, with a stopover in San Luis Obispo to earn a BS in mechanical engineering at Cal Poly. She was hired as a Quality Engineer at Stryker Endoscopy, and to her surprise 16 years later, is still passionate about all things Compliance. In a brief attempt to break out of the mold, Tracey returned to school and received an MBA from UC Berkeley, but quickly found that building quality systems and negotiating regulatory hurdles at companies like Natus Medical and Cryovascular Systems (Boston Scientific) was way more fun. Since she's been at myoscience, Tracey has been responsible for clearances and approvals in the U.S., Europe and Canada. Despite all this practical knowledge, she couldn't resist the urge to go back to school and take more tests, so Tracey became certified in Regulatory Affairs (RAC) by the Regulatory Affairs Professionals Society (RAPS). Tracey's much neglected hobbies include swimming, tending her vegetable garden, cooking from said vegetable garden, tripping over Legos and losing the battle de-linting cat hair from her business suits.

Jesse Rosen

VP, Product Development

Jesse was born in the small town of Las Vegas, New Mexico (it really exists) but soon was moved to the California wine country, where he was raised. He enrolled at the University of California San Diego, which was the farthest he could get away while still paying in-state tuition and received a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Since it still felt a little close, he moved on to Tulane University where he received a Master’s degree also in Mechanical Engineering. Jesse was lured back to San Diego by the warm, dry weather and worked in research and development on products ranging from critical care ventilators at Puritan Bennett to industrial scale Zinc-Air fuel cells at a small start-up called Metallic power. In 2003 Jesse moved back up to the Bay Area where he was soon to meet his wife and start a family. Jesse was an original member of the development team at Zeltiq and then moved to myoscience in 2011 to work on something cooler. When not thinking about the thermodynamics of high-pressure nitrous oxide, Jesse spends time with his beautiful wife and daughters and looks longing at the mountain bikes collecting dust in his garage.

His most recent success, CardioThoracic Systems (CTS), the market leader in disposable instruments and systems for performing minimally invasive beating heart bypass surgery, was acquired by Guidant for $350 million in November 1999. Rich was a co-founder of CTS and the force that led the company to an initial public offering in only 7 months, the fastest of any medical technology company in history.

Mr. Ferrari is the recipient of the Mallinckrodt Award for Excellence in Medicine and has been a finalist for the Entrepreneur of the Year Award. Rich holds a BS degree from Ashland University and an MBA from the University of South Florida.
